Cypriot pita bread is different than the Greek one. They are thin slices of bread but have different shape and taste. Their shape is oval and what makes them different is that they have an empty space in the middle so that fou can open them and add any filling you like. Traditionally, they are used to make a Greek souvlaki and seftalia and a salad which contains cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, parsle, onions and pickles with mustard and lemon, without oil. But of course, we can use any filling we want each time. Enjoy!
